Carrick to the Carolinas – NVTV Belfast Documentary

During the American Revolution women played vital, but forgotten roles. The ladies of Kingsbury had the opportunity at the Battle of the Waxhaws to portray nurses after the battle at the Waxhaw Meeting House. Thank you NVTV Belfast for adding this to your documentary, covering Elizabeth Jackson. Thank you Meagan, with the Museum of Waxhaws, for sharing this very important part of women’s history and Kendall Kendrick for making sure this story was brought to life during the battle reeanactment. It’s exciting for not just our regiment, but for living historians in the Carolina area who teach our history, being featured in this Irish documentary following Elizabeth Jackson’s life from Ireland to the Waxhaws.
